Hi there! My name is Merel and I run Blackbird Studios, a brand of functional art all handmade by me. I keep expanding my range of products to learn about new ways of making detailed, unique and funky designs that make people happy with as little waste as possible.

I study Sociology at university in Rotterdam (NL) and spend the rest of my time on my business: making my products by hand, packing orders, taking product photos, selling at markets, editing social media posts, restocking my items in shops, working on my website; I truly love what I do.
